Product Features and Applications

The intelligent integrated harmonic-resistant capacitor (hereafter referred to as the product) is designed for power networks with certain harmonic content where ordinary power capacitors cannot operate normally. Its main features include:

● High-quality low-voltage capacitors with oil-free design for high safety.

● No-inrush switching switches with advanced technology, stable and reliable performance.

● Special technologies and processes effectively suppress high-order harmonics and inrush currents, notably for the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, and higher harmonics.

● Modular structure for flexible combination, convenient expansion, simple installation, and easy maintenance.

● Intelligent network with RS485 interface for connection to computers for comprehensive power distribution management.

● Distributed control mode with 200,000 trouble-free switchings for high reliability.

● Humanized HMI for simple operation, convenient maintenance, and on-site fault detection.

● Internal SH explosion-proof devices and temperature control units improve operation reliability in severe harmonic environments.

● Significant energy-saving effect, effectively improving power factor, reducing power consumption, and enhancing power quality.

Filtering Function

Effectively suppresses high-order harmonics and inrush currents, forming a low-resistance path for high-order harmonics. It absorbs and releases harmonics, eliminates the impact of high-order harmonics on capacitors, protects the circuit and capacitors from overload, and prevents capacitor overheating, insulation medium aging, degradation of self-healing performance, and shortened service life.

Inrush-Free Switching Function

Used in conjunction with special capacitor switching switches to achieve inrush-free switching.

Phase-Compensated Function

Phase-compensated products allow individual switching of capacitors in each phase, improving reactive power compensation accuracy and well compensating for three-phase reactive power imbalance.

Measurement Function

Measures distribution voltage, current, reactive power, and power factor; automatically measures and corrects CT phase and variation; measures three-phase current and internal temperature of each capacitor.

Protection Function

Loop current quick cut-off and overcurrent protection,capacitor overvoltage and undervoltage protection, capacitor overtemperature, phase loss, and three-phase unbalance protection. When the capacitor temperature exceeds 65°C, the entire capacitor is withdrawn for protection, extending service life and ensuring safe system operation.                                                          Signal Function

Signals for capacitor switching status, over/under compensation status, over/undervoltage status; signals for protection action types and self-diagnosed fault types.                                                            Communication Function

RS-485 communication is used between capacitors and controllers to facilitate upload of a large amount of sampled data and information exchange with peripheral monitoring terminals, forming a system.

Networking Function

With wired and wireless network communication functions.

Intelligent Network Control

Automatically detects and tracks changes in system reactive power, and automatically switches capacitor banks. Capacitors with the same capacity are switched according to the cyclic switching principle, and capacitors with different capacities are switched according to the appropriate compensation principle. Capacitors are switched off first if they were switched on first, and vice versa; capacitors with lower operating temperatures are switched on first, and those with higher operating temperatures are switched off first; when the compensation condition is constant, capacitors are cyclically switched every 15 minutes to avoid prolonged operation of a single capacitor.
